🚗 How to Fix “Outside the Area” Error When Scheduling Trips

The message “It won’t let me schedule trips and tells me that I am outside the area” is usually due to a step that needs to be completed.

✅ Why This Happens

This message appears when one or more of the required settings for scheduled rides haven’t been configured. Specifically, you’ll need to:

  • Set a default fleet fare

  • Set your fleet city and service area

Without both of these in place, the system won’t be able to offer scheduled trips, since it doesn’t know where your fleet operates or how to price the ride.

🛠 Steps to Fix It

1. Set a Default Fleet Fare

This defines how much riders are charged for scheduled rides in your area.

  • Go to your fleet settings:

  • Scroll to the Default Fare for Scheduled Rides section.

  • Select or create a fare that matches your pricing.

  • Save your changes.

2. Set Your Fleet City and Service Area

This defines where your scheduled rides can be requested and dispatched.
