Web Link Payments

Web link payments let drivers send riders a payment page that can be opened on the rider's phone.

How It Works

  1. Complete a trip in the Meter app.

  2. On the trip summary screen, select Charge Card or Send Payment Link.

  3. The rider opens the payment page and pays with a saved card or a new card.

  4. Once payment is confirmed, the funds are processed through Meter Pay.

Setting Up Web Link Payments

To use web link payments, you need:

  • A Meter Pro or Fleet subscription

  • A connected Meter Pay account

  • Payment settings configured in your account

Extra Tips After Payment

If a trip was paid through a web link, the rider may still see an option to add an extra tip on the trip page after the original payment is complete. This also applies to prepaid booking trips that were paid online before the ride.

The extra tip option:

  • Is available for up to 4 days after the trip ends

  • Is only available if a tip has not already been added to the trip

  • Is not available for cash or terminal-paid trips

  • Must meet the minimum charge for the trip currency, such as $0.50 USD

Suggested tip percentages that would fall below the minimum are automatically hidden.
