How to Sync Bookings to Your Calendar

How to use the calendar sync feature to automatically add booked trips to your phone's calendar app.

Meter can automatically add your upcoming booked trips to your phone's calendar. When a new booking is assigned to you or a booking time changes, the calendar event is updated automatically.

How to Enable Calendar Sync

  1. Open the Meter app.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Find the Sync to Calendar toggle and turn it on.

  4. When prompted, grant Meter permission to access your calendar.

  5. Choose which calendar app you want to sync to (e.g., Google Calendar, Samsung Calendar, Apple Calendar).

Once enabled, all your upcoming bookings will appear as events in the selected calendar app.

Choosing a Calendar App

After enabling calendar sync, Meter will ask you to select a calendar app. You can change this at any time:

  1. Go to Settings in the Meter app.

  2. Tap the calendar app selector below the sync toggle.

  3. Choose a different calendar app from the list.

The list shows all calendar apps installed on your device. If you don't see the app you want, make sure it is installed and has an active calendar account set up.

What Gets Synced

Calendar sync creates events for your upcoming bookings. Each calendar event includes:

  • Pickup time and location

  • Dropoff location (if provided)

  • Rider notes (if any)

When a booking is canceled or completed, the calendar event is automatically removed.

Troubleshooting

Calendar events are not appearing:

  • Make sure the Sync to Calendar toggle is turned on in Settings.

  • Check that Meter has calendar permission. On Android: Settings > Apps > Meter > Permissions > Calendar. On iOS: Settings > Meter > Calendars.

  • Try toggling the sync off and back on.

  • Make sure you have selected a calendar app. If no app is selected, events will not be created.

  • Restart the Meter app after changing permissions.

Events appear in the wrong calendar:

  • Tap the calendar app selector in Settings and choose the correct app.

  • If you have multiple accounts in your calendar app (e.g., personal and work Google accounts), the events are added to the default calendar for that app. Check your calendar app's settings to change the default calendar.

Requirements

  • Meter Fleet subscription (calendar sync is for fleet bookings)

  • Calendar permissions granted to the Meter app

  • At least one calendar app installed on your device
